Fitness has been a passion for Head trainer Josh ever since he was a kid. Always being involved in sport outside and inside of school making the transition into becoming a fitness professional was th obvious choice. Since completion of his Cert 3 and 4 in fitness Josh has furthered his studies by recently graduating from a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and applies his theoretical knowledge to all his clients through the programming that he uses.

Not only does Josh have extensive knowledge and understanding of how to get you to your goals but also why you’re doing everything that you do and the impacts that it has on your body at a physiological level. He also has numerous years of practical experience in applying what he learns to all his clients and achieving their successes.

His experiences and knowledge background is as follows:

  • 4 years as a personal trainer
  • 3 years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Exercise scientist
  • Cert 3 and 4 in fitness

Along with being able to get each client to their goals, Josh also trains with his own set of performance goals in mind and takes the same attitude to training himself as he does with training all his clients. Competing in numerous sports over the years

  • Touch Foot ball
  • Golf

Josh is still currently competing in Powerlifting, with a 1st place finish at his last local powerlifting meet. Josh demonstrates the same level of dedication, motivation and consistency that he expects of each one of his clients in training towards their training goals.

As you can see Josh isn’t just highly passionate and experienced but also practices what he preachs. This is what separates Josh and his clients from the rest of the fitness industry, he uses know gimmicks and fads only training methods that he believes in and knows that works.

I rocked up to Boot Camps Australia New Farm a scrawny, pasty accountant but now I’m just a pasty accountant thanks to the early mornings and late nights I spent with Josh. Josh made me feels things in places I’ve never felt before and I couldn’t be more thankful for the solid routine he’s helped me in to. Such is the motivational prowess of this guy, that after our last session together, I couldn’t walk for a week! I have been with Josh for a couple of months now. I was hesitant to begin with after having a trainer who wouldn’t listen to what I wanted or when something was hurting, but Josh listens to what I want and what I would like to achieve and really helps me focus on these things. I was having trouble with activating certain muscles by doing things incorrectly, so he worked with me to improve my technique and I have seen the results. He listens when I say something is too difficult or is hurting and he will modify anything to suit me. I really recommend Josh as a PT and enjoy training with him.
